Lovely temperatures (below 35oC) are everywhere except for Binh Dinh (high at 36oC). The cool northerly wind in northern Vietnam makes the air pleasant. Still, this weather pattern is not normal in the summer in the North. The northerly wind is found mostly in the winter and it seems the North of Vietnam has switched back to winter weather patterns.

6-May-2019 A new seasonal weather pattern has been established in Vietnam: dry and hot season in the Central Coast, rainy season in the Central Highlands and South of Vietnam. It has been unsual in northern Vietnam as the northerly wind blows. This type of wind should be in the winter or spring only and should not be present in the North in May. The northerly wind makes it cloudy, dry and beautiful a day in most of northern Vietnam and in Hanoi.

The weather has taken a change since yesterday in Hanoi and northern Vietnam. It has been wet and foggy in Hanoi with rain dusts which is normally found in February or March only. South of the Central Region starts to get warm with mid day temperatures at 35-36oC.

2-May-2019 The whole country is back to work after long public holidays in Vietnam. Clouds and rains are found in most of the country and the temperatures are very pleasant. Tay Ninh and Dien Bien Phu are the only 2 provinces with mid day temperatures reaching 36oC; the rest of the country enjoys lovely temperatures: 18-28oC in the North and 20-32oC in the others.

The rains at this time of the year are quite short-lived and the weather conditions are definitely great for a great holiday. For those in the Central Highlands and South of Vietnam, welcome to the rainy season! Yes, the weather pattern has definitely taken a change to be that typical of the rainy season with mild sunshine, clouds and daily short-lived rains. The regions with high temperatures (>=36oC) in Vietnam now are the extreme Northwest (Son La, Dien Bien Phu, Lai Chau), North of the Central Coast (from Nghe An to Hue), the Mekong Delta and the vicinity to the northwest of Saigon. There are rains in several regions in Vietnam which make the temperatures much more pleasant during the holiday.
28-April-2019 It is still public holidays in Vietnam today, a cloudy day in most of the country, the temperatures get higher than yesterday and warm in part of the Central Coast north of the Hai Van Pass, and warm in all over South Vietnam, the temperatures are pleasant in all the rest of Vietnam. The South of Vietnam is heading into the rainy season with short-lived rains in the afternoon everyday which makes the temperatures much more pleasant and the air more refreshing. The Central Highlands have occasional rains and lovely temperatures. The North of Vietnam is heading into the summer with occasional short-lived rains accompanied by thunderstorms.

A day of clouds, breezes and mild sunshine in most of Vietnam. The heat strike is definitely over and there are rains in several regions of the country in the late afternoon. It seems the South of Vietnam and the Central Highlands have entered into the rainy season with daily short-lived rains and with much more pleasant temperatures than earlier. Saigon has a sudden torrential rain in the afternoon which makes the air much fresher and the temperatures nicer.
