The Binh Hung Island, also known as Hon Ty or Hon Chut, is located in Cam Binh Commune, Cam Ranh City, Khanh Hoa Province. The land area of the island is less than 2 square kilometers. It is less than 1km from the island to the sea shore.

The Binh Hung Island is under the administration of Khanh Hoa Province. But geographically, the island is deep in the territory of Ninh Thuan Province. And the most convenient way to get to the island is from Bai Kinh Beach (in Ninh Thuan Province) where you hire a boat to get to the Binh Hung Island.
From 22-April-2022, tourism to the Binh Hung Island and the Binh Ba Island is forbidden for possible breaching of the national security.
Weather and Climate, The Best Time to Visit The Binh Hung Island
The Binh Hung Island has two distinct seasons per year: dry season from December through April and rainy season from May through November.
Try not to visit the island in September through October and it is the rainy and typhoon season. Except for these times, the weather is often nice in the other times of the year.
What To See on the Binh Hung Island
1/ Bai Chuoi Beach
This is a sandy beach with deep water and clear water. There is colorful coral for those who love snorkeling.
2/ Bai Trung Beach
This is a rocky beach strewn with egg-like big boulders. The beach is a good photo spot.
3/ Light House of Hon Chut
The lighthouse offers lovely views of the sea and the Cam Ranh Bay with dazzling turquoise blue sea.
4/ Cai Me Beach
The beach is sandy and separated by rock cliffs. To get here you have to take a boat trip.
What To Do on the Binh Hung Island
You can go swimming in the crystal clear, turquoise blue sea water or kayaking or snorkeling… while visiting the island.
Where To Stay, Accommodation on the Binh Hung Island
There are simple guest houses, float houses, camp sites on the Binh Hung Island. Luxury hotels are not yet available.
How To Get There
From Nha Trang City, follow Route 1A southward for 85km to Bai Kinh Beach in Vinh Hai Commune, Ninh Hai District, Ninh Thuan Province. This coastal road offers those of the most beautiful sea views in Vietnam. Every place you stop on this road, you are in a wonderful tourist attraction!
From the Bai Kinh Beach, take a less than 10-minute boat trip to the Binh Hung Island.
