Travel Guide, What to see, things to do in Du Gia, Ha Giang
1/ Trekking in the valley
There are several trails in the valleys with idyllic scenery that take a few hours to complete. Some may like to venture further into the mountains which requires a local guide else it is easy to get lost.
2/ Tham Luong Waterfall
The fall is not that impressive but the water is crystal clear where you can have some relaxing time swimming around. The trek to the waterfall from the center of the valley is 3km and the landscape is captivating.
Where to stay
There are a few homestay with basic communities, some have private rooms with en-suite toilet. The landscape is very bucolic!
How to get there
The Du Gia Commune is 75km northwest of Ha Giang City via Route 34 and Provincial Route 176. Route 34 is in fine conditions but provincial route 176 is always in very bad conditions which allow only motorbikes or mountain bikes.
If you follow Route 176 northwest then Meo Vac is 80km away. The road is mostly in bad conditions but the leg from after Mau Duy Township is fairly good all the way to Meo Vac. The landscape is beyond extraordinarily beautiful!
