Dak Nong Province is located to the south of the Central Highlands of Vietnam, on the Plateau of Dak Nong (also called M’nong Plateau) with averaged altitude of 800m above sea level. The highest peak is Nam Decbri is 1,580m or Nam Nung Mountain Range.
There are other plateaus near Dak Nong: Di Linh (Lam Dong) to the south, Lam Vien (Lam Dong Province) to the east, Dak Lak (or Buon Ma Thuot) to the north. The provincial capital is Gia Nghia Town.
