Long Khanh is a country city of Dong Nai Province, 80km northeast of Ho Chi Minh City and 80km north of Vung Tau City. There are several orchards here combined with several green parks and woods that make it a weekend attraction to tourists from Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon).
Tourist Attractions, Things To See in Long Khanh
1/ Hoa Binh Park, K4 Zone
Come and visit this amazing park and learn the amazing history of the site. The park was a leisure zone for officials of the Government of South Vietnam Republic in the past, then a prison for them (K4), now a public park called Hoa Binh (Peace).
2/ Ancient Tomb of Hang Gon
The tomb was discovered by the French in 1910 when they were cutting down forests for their rubber plantations. Archaeologists estimate the tomb was built over 2,000 years ago. No thorough research has been conducted though.
The size of the tomb is 4.2x2.7x1.6 (LxWxH) and is built with six slabs of marble stone weighed no less than 50 tons. This type of stone could be found only in Da Lat or Phan Rang, either of which is 300km away.
3/ Bat Caves of Long Khanh
There are 3 underground caves with openings 500m apart which connect one and another. Visiting the cave may be an adventure for some.
4/ Suoi Tre Park
The park was once a leisure zone for French officials and now is a public park. There are streams, rolling hills with lots of trees which make it an escape spot.
