The Ma Da Forest also known as the Culture and Nature Reserve of Dong Nai covers an area of 100,000 hectares by the Dong Nai River. The nature reserve has 68,000 hectares of natural forest.
The Ma Da Forest is home to 1,552 floral species and 1,881 fauna species. The Ma Da Forest has connection with the Cat Tien National Park both of which are on the migrating route of many wild species and help to make up a great natural habitat.
In the Ma Da forest, there is the Tri An Reservoir with several islands and lovely settings around. The forest, the river and the reservoir make the area a popular destination for families from Ho Chi Minh City.
Weather and Climate, Best Time to Visit
The best time to visit the Ma Da Forest is during the dry season from late November through June. It may be pretty wet at the other times of the year. The trails may be too muddy and there are quite a lot of insects during the rainy season.

How to get there
The Ma Da Forest is 80km northeast of Ho Chi Minh City via Bien Hoa City (Route 1A and Provincial Route 767). The first half of the way is on a busy road and the second one is quiet.
