5-May-2019 A cloudy day in most of Vietnam, cloudy and warm in the northern region of the Central Coast (Quang Binh, Quang Tri, Hue), and the vicinity of Ho Chi Minh City. The weather has taken a change since yesterday in Hanoi and northern Vietnam. It has been wet and foggy in Hanoi with rain dusts which is normally found in February or March only. South of the Central Region starts to get warm with mid day temperatures at 35-36oC.
1/The Northeast of Vietnam (Lang Son, Cao Bang, Bac Kan, Ha Giang, Thai Nguyen): clouds and rains, 22-29oC. Dong Van Pleau (Ha Giang) is cloudy and rainy, 17-22oC.
The Northwest of Vietnam: Hoa Binh and Lao Cai have clouds, rains in Yen Bai, 24-34oC mostly, 26-36oC in Lao Cai. Sapa is cloudy, 15-23oC. Mu Cang Chai has clouds, 20-28oC.
Son La, Dien Bien, Lai Chau: clouds, 22-33oC, 24-36oC in Dien Bien Phu. Moc Chau Plateau has clouds and sun, 20-28oC. Highest recorded temperatures: 38.8oC at Yen Chau (Son La).
The lowlands (Halong Bay, Hai Phong, Hanoi, Thai Binh, Ninh Binh): clouds all over, lovely temperatures, 24-33oC. Hanoi is foggy and wet due to light rains (rain dusts) which should be found in February or March, very unusual.
2/North of the Central Region (Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Ha Tinh) clouds, 26-34oC. Highest recorded temperatures: 390C at Tuong Duong (Nghe An).
3/The coastal areas in the Central Region of Vietnam (Central Coast of Vietnam including: Quang Binh, Quang Tri, Hue, Da Nang, Quang Nam, Quang Ngai, Phu Yen, Binh Dinh, Khanh Hoa, Ninh Thuan, Binh Thuan)
Quang Binh, Quang Tri, Hue: clouds all over and hot, 27-37oC. Highest recorded temperatures: 39.8oC at Tuyen Hoa (Quang Binh), 38.9 at Dong Ha (Quang Tri).
Da Nang, Hoi An: clouds and sun, 27-34oC;
Quang Ngai, Binh Dinh (Quy Nhon Beach), Phu Yen (Tuy Hoa Beach): sun and clouds in Quang Ngai, 27-36oC; rains in the others, 25-33oC. Highest recorded temperatures: 38.7 at Ba To (Quang Ngai), 38.8 at An Nhon (Binh Dinh), 39oC at Tuy Hoa (Phu Yen).
Khanh Hoa (Nha Trang), Ninh Thuan (Ninh Chu Beach), Binh Thuan (Phan Thiet Beach, Mui Ne Beach): bright sun and clouds, rains in Binh Thuan, 27-34oC mostly, 27-36oC in Ninh Thuan.
4/The Central Highlands (Kon Tum, Gia Lai - Pleiku, Dak Lak - Buon Ma Thuot, Lam Dong) clouds all over and patchy rains, 22-33oC. Da Lat has clouds and sun, 17-24oC.
5/The South of Vietnam:
- Vung Tau, Saigon, Mekong Delta have clouds, warm temperatures, 27-35oC, 27-36oC in Tien Giang and Long An; afternoon rains in several provinces in the Mekong Delta.
- Dong Nai, Binh Duong, Binh Phuoc: clouds mostly, rains in Tay Ninh and Dong Nai in the afternoon, 26-35oC, 27-36oC in Binh Duong.
Con Dao Islands are clouds and sun, 28-30oC; Phu Quoc Island is sunny and cloudy, 27-31oC.
