Van Long Nature Reserve is an idyllic area in Gia Van Commune, Gia Vien District, Ninh Binh Province.
Quan Lan Island is in Van Don District, Quang Ninh Province. The population on the island belongs to two communes: Quan Lan and Minh Chau and that is why the island is also referred to as the Quan Lan Minh Chau Island.

The construction of the Dien Huu Pagoda was in 1049 under the reign of King Ly Thai Tong and finished in 1105 under the reign of King Ly Nhan Tong.
