It rains more at the end of the rainy season in September and October. In the rainy season, it may rain for 20 consecutive days of a month. The annual rainfall is 3,000mmm (or sometimes 4,000mm to the north of Phu Quoc) per annum.

The best time to visit Phu Quoc Island
The best time to visit Phu Quoc is in the dry season from November through March. The temperatures are pleasant during this time, 25-28oC. The sea is calm during this period. While it is nice weather, it is the busy tourist season, too. Prices may be higher and services may be booked out. The beaches are more crowded than at the other times of the year.
For best prices and quiet beaches and not so rainy weather, then the transitional moments are the best: April, May, late October and early November.
The prices are the cheapest during the rainy season. If you happen to visit Phu Quoc during the rainy season, then it is better to stay on the east of the island where it is calmer wind and sea.
