6Jan2013 Cambodia Angkor Air begins its first flight between Phnom Penh (Cambodia) and Hanoi (Vietnam). Airbus 321 aircrafts are to be used for these flights. This is the only daily flight between the two capital cities of Cambodia and Vietnam.
Earlier, Cambodia Angkor Air started its first flights between Phnom Penh and Bangkok (Thailand) on 30Nov2012. On this route, the air firm uses ATR72 with 67 seats.
Cambodia Angkor Air, which started its operation in July 2009, is a joint-venture between Cambodia Government (51%) and Vietnam Airlines (49%). At the beginning, the airline only operated flights within Cambodia (Phnom Penh - Siem Reap, Siem Reap - Sihanouville), between Cambodia - Laos, and between Cambodia - Vietnam.
