Tam Dao National Park Province is located in Vinh Phuc Province, 80km from Hanoi. The name of the national park derives from the three high mountains (Tam Dao) which could be seen from Hanoi on a clear day.

Bac Giang Province is located to the Northeast of Vietnam, the provincial capital city is 50km northeast of Hanoi. The terrain of Bac Giang is higher to the east and lower to the west. There are high mountain peaks of over 1,000m above sea level to the east of the province which belong to the Yen Tu Mountain Range.
Bac Ninh is adjacent to Hanoi, the provincial capital is 30km northeast of Hanoi. Most of the terrain of Bac Ninh is flat, a larger part of the province is a part of the Red River Delta. But there are mountains across the province.
