What To See, Things To Do on Mount Ham Rong
1/ Wild orchid garden
There are different orchid species that could be of immense interest to some travelers who love orchids or flora.
There is a vantage point here that you can get magnificent views of the town and Mount Fansipan.
2/ The Rock Garden
The garden is strewn with rocks of different shapes. There are quite a few hidden corners that makes it quite an interesting place for people seeking romantic privacy.
3/ The Heavenly Gate Observatory
This is the summit of Mount Ham Rong where you can get great views of the whole surrounding. On a day with nice clouds, you can get just photos of the unreal natural landscape around.

There are performances of traditional music and dances by local boys and girls once or twice per day depending on the season.
How to get there
Mount Ham Rong can be accessed from the Stadium or Sapa Church: follow the road by the side of the church (or climb the steps from the stadium) to the back of the church then turn left where you can see a boot selling entrance ticket to the mountain.
There are steps all the way to the top of the summit. Though it is not really an easy hike, visiting the mountain should be not too difficult for most travelers in good shape. A complete tour of Mount Ham Rong takes from 2 hours to half a day.
