
Moc Chau Plateau has a temperature climate with cool temperatures all year round: the dry season from December through April and the rainy season from May through November. During the rainy season, Moc Chau may be affected by tropical depressions or typhoon. The temperatures are cold from November through March which may reach below freezing point.

Lai Chau Province has a tropical monsoon climate with two distinct seasons: dry from December through April and rainy season from May through October. Lai Chau is affected by two main monsoons: Southwesterly in the summer and Northeasterly in the winter. The monsoons combined with the terrain of high mountains dissected by small valleys and ravines and with steep gradients shape up the climate in Lai Chau.

Dien Bien Province has a tropical monsoon climate: rainy season from May through September, dry season from October through April.

Son La Province has a tropical monsoon climate: summer from April through September, winter from October through March. In the summer, Son La is strongly affected by the foehn wind which causes dry air and hot temperatures.

Mai Chau is a district of Hoa Binh Province known for lovely valleys inhabited by Thai ethnic people. Since Vietnam is open to international tourism, Mai Chau has always been a popular tourist attractions to families and adventure travelers.

Lao Cai Province has a tropical monsoon climate: rainy season from May through October, dry season from November through April.

Yen Bai Province has a tropical monsoon climate with two main seasons: the cold season from November through March during which there may be light drizzles at the beginning and at the end; the hot season from May through September with torrential rains.
Welcome back, hot summer! It is hot in all the Northwest of Vietnam, the lowlands of North Vietnam and the Central Coast of Vietnam. The Central Highlands and the South of Vietnam have a day with sun, clouds, scattered rains, and pleasant temperatures.
December is the winter in the North of Vietnam, rainy and cold season in the Central Coast, the dry season in the Central Highlands and South of Vietnam.
November is end of autumn in the North and about the beginning of the winter up here. The North still have pleasant daily temperatures, the air gets drier and, often it gets chilly at night. There may be but not very often typhoons in the North during this month.
