AirMekong To Increase Flights to Vietnam Travel Attractions

Air Mekong, a Vietnamese private airline, announces that the firm is to operate 50 more flights between major tourist attractions in Vietnam in the period from 23Dec2011 to 3Jan2012 to meet the surge in demand for air travel in the country during the time. Most of the flights are for Hanoi - Phu Quoc Island, Hanoi - Da Lat, Ho Chi Minh City - Phu Quoc Island and Ho Chi Minh City - Con Dao Island. According to the airline, there will be 2 flights per day to Con Dao Island instead of 5 flights per week at present; and 1 to 2 flights per day to Phu Quoc Island instead of 12 flights per week now.
Air Mekong is also to increase flights between Vinh (Nghe An Province) and Buon Ma Thuot from 3 flights per week to 4 flights per week from 1Dec2011. Flights between these two cities were started from 1Oct2011 only and seat occupancy has been around 80%.
From 1Dec2011, Air Mekong is to begin flights between Vinh and Pleiku (Gia Lai Province in the Central Highlands of Vietnam). Initially, the air firm plans 3 flights per week between these 2 cities on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. The flight departs Pleiku at 17:00 and departs Vinh at 18:45.
From 20Nov2011, Air Mekong is to increase flights between Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City from 3 or 4 flights per day now to 4 or 5 flights and apply One-Price ticket policy for these flights.
Air Mekong is a newly-established private air firm in Vietnam with flights to major destinations in Vietnam including Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Vinh, Da Lat, Buon Ma Thuot, Pleiku, Quy Nhon (Binh Dinh Province), Phu Quoc Island, Con Dao Island. All flights by Air Mekong are with Bombardier CRJ 900 Aircrafts. Apart from the commuter flights, Air Mekong also offers chartered flights to corporates and individual travellers.
