Air Mekong opens flights between Ho Chi Minh City and Quy Nhon

Air Mekong, a newly established private air carrier in Vietnam, starts flights between Ho Chi Minh City and Quy Nhon Beach City of Binh Dinh Province from 1-June-2011. Tickets for these flights are to be available on the firm's website and via air ticket agents from 15-May-2011, disclosed by the airline's spokeman. There are daily flights between Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon) and Quy Nhon City (Binh Dinh Province). From Ho Chi Minh City Tan Son Nhat Airport, the flight departs at 08:15 A.M and arrives at Phu Cat Airport of Quy Nhon City at 09:15 A.M. The return flight from Quy Nhon departs at 10:15 A.M and arrives at Tan Son Nhat Airport at 11:15 A.M. Air Mekong uses Bombardier CRJ 900 aircrafts for all its flights.
Quy Nhon Beach City is getting more and more popular among the Vietnamese and foreign tourists who seek relaxing beach holidays. Quy Nhon is also a good stop to break the journey between the Central Highlands of Vietnam and the coastal provinces; or between Da Nang or Hoi An Old Town and Nha Trang Beach City. Quy Nhon is 1.065km south of Hanoi, 300km south of Da Nang and 650km north of Ho Chi Minh City (also known as Saigon).
