Quang Binh Province is a stretch of land which is the most skinny in the Central Region of Vietnam. The province is characterized by high forested mountains to the west and sand dunes and flat coastline to the east.
The landscape of Quang Binh is among the most idyllic in Vietnam but that is not all. The province is home to some of the biggest caves in the World. The Son Doong Cave is an amazing cave in Quang Binh with length of 9km, height of 200m and width of 160m; this is the biggest one known by far in Quang Binh and the biggest known cave in the World.
Inside the Son Doong Cave, there is an underground river of 2.5km and there are two open pits which are home to real dense woods.
To visit the Son Doong Cave, we will have to trek for over 10km ,then trek through limestone mountains for a few more hours. Son Doong is reserved only for the real adventure travelers.
