Lang Son Vietnam

The Bac Son Valley is in Bac Son District of Lang Son Province. The valley is 95km west of Lang Son City and 150km northeast of Hanoi. 

The Dong Lam Prairie is in Huu Lien Commune, Huu Lung District, Lang Son Province, northern Vietnam. Dong Lam is 120km northeast of Hanoi via Route 1A and 85km southwest of Lang Son City.

Lang Son City is the provincial capital of Lang Son Province. Lang Son City is 150km northeast of Hanoi. Lang Son City is right on the border with China and there are several tourist attractions in the city.

Lang Son is a lovely city right on border with China. Lang Son is home to several historical sites that mark important events in the Vietnamese history. The natural landscape of Lang Son is characterized by mountains and idyllic valleys. Still most travelers only pass by Lang Son on a trip of the Northeast of Vietnam. Only some stay overnight in this amazing city.

Lang Son is located to the Northeast of Vietnam, 150km northeast of Hanoi. Lang Son has always been the most important trade hub between Vietnam and China throughout history. The land also marks several events which helped to shape up the Vietnamese history.

Lang Son Province has a tropical monsoon climate like most of northern Vietnam but does not often have too high temperatures even in the summer. The temperatures in Lang Son are often at least 2-3oC lower than neighboring regions all year round.

Lang Son Province is located to the northeast of Vietnam. The province shares a border with China to the north, the east and the northeast. The Mau Son Mountain is the highest mountain in the province located 40km east of Lang Son provincial capital city. There are several peaks in the Mau Son Mountain which are from 1,300m to over 1,500m above sea level.

The Phia Po Mountain Peak (also known as Nui Cha – Father Mountain), which is 1,541m above sea level, is the highest peak of the 80 or so mountain peaks in the Mau Son Mountain Range. The mountain peak is 30km east of Lang Son City, 200km northeast of Hanoi.

Lang Son is right on the border with China in the Northeast of Vietnam, off the tourist track by far. Lang Son possesses amazing mountainscape and a plethora of ethnic groups. The land has several sites which mark amazing battles throughout the thousands of years of the Vietnamese history.

Lang Son City in the eponymous province is a scenic city right on the Chinese border, 150km northeast of Hanoi. The city has the Ky Cung River running southeast-northwest, lakes and a clutter of mountains. The To Thi Mountain is in a quiet neighborhood though right in the city center.

It was autumn in northern Vietnam and for a few days recently it had been wet. The northeasterly monsoon blew again making daily temperatures much lower in Hanoi. In the mountains, it must have been chilly and cold now. Work had been busy and I was desperate for a short break. It was no fun traveling in so wet weather anyway.

The Windy Cave (Cave of Winds, Hang Gio) is in Dong Mo Township, 60km south of Lang Son provincial capital city. The Windy Cave has two openings and both offer great views of the surrounding with several limestone mountains.
