9-May-2019 Another lovely day in all of Vietnam, mostly clouds, some patchy rains. The North of Vietnam enjoys lovely weather with pleasant temperatures. A wonderful day for adventure tours like hiking, trekking, or cycling in the far-northern mountain; not so great for sun-worshiping on the beaches in the Central Coast and South of Vietnam though.
1/The Northeast of Vietnam (Lang Son, Cao Bang, Bac Kan, Ha Giang, Thai Nguyen): clouds mostly, rains in Lang Son, Ha Giang and Thai Nguyen, 19-26oC. Dong Van Pleau (Ha Giang) is cloudy mostly, morning showers, 13-16oC.
The Northwest of Vietnam: Hoa Binh and Yen Bai have clouds all over, 21-28oC. Sapa is cloudy, 12-18oC. Mu Cang Chai has thunderstorms, 17-24oC.
Son La, Dien Bien, Lai Chau: clouds all over, 20-34oC. Moc Chau Plateau has morning shower, cloudy mostly, 18-22oC.
The lowlands (Halong Bay, Hai Phong, Hanoi, Thai Binh, Ninh Binh): clouds in Halong Bay and Hai Phong, rains in the others, lovely temperatures, 22-27oC. Hanoi has light rain dusts which are like those in spring time (February-March), chilly morning, lovely temperatures all day, strong northerly wind and dry later in the day.
2/North of the Central Region (Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Ha Tinh) clouds mostly, rains in Nghe An and Ha Tinh, 23-28oC.
3/The coastal areas in the Central Region of Vietnam (Central Coast of Vietnam including: Quang Binh, Quang Tri, Hue, Da Nang, Quang Nam, Quang Ngai, Phu Yen, Binh Dinh, Khanh Hoa, Ninh Thuan, Binh Thuan)
Quang Binh, Quang Tri, Hue: clouds all over, afternoon rains in Quang Binh, sun and clouds in Hue, 25-32oC.
Da Nang, Hoi An: clouds and sun, 25-32oC;
Quang Ngai, Binh Dinh (Quy Nhon Beach), Phu Yen (Tuy Hoa Beach): clouds all over, 25-34oC mostly.
Khanh Hoa (Nha Trang), Ninh Thuan (Ninh Chu Beach), Binh Thuan (Phan Thiet Beach, Mui Ne Beach): sun and clouds, rains in Binh Thuan and Khanh Hoa, 26-35oC.
4/The Central Highlands (Kon Tum, Gia Lai - Pleiku, Dak Lak - Buon Ma Thuot, Lam Dong) clouds all over, afternoon rains in Kon Tum, 22-29oC. Da Lat has rains, 17-23oC.
5/The South of Vietnam:
- Vung Tau, Saigon, Mekong Delta have rains all over, 27-33oC. Torrential rains in the afternoon make several streets in Ho Chi Minh City flooded.
- Dong Nai, Binh Duong, Binh Phuoc: clouds in Dong Nai, rains in the others, 25-33oC.
Con Dao Islands have thunderstorms, 27-29oC; Phu Quoc Island is rainy, 27-30oC.
