High presure cool air masses are moving southwards and this will soon make the temperatures in northern Vietnam lower as well as create thunderstorms in several regions in the North. Still it remains warm in parts of northern Vietnam today. The temperatures are high in the Central Region. The Central Highlands and South of Vietnam enjoy pleasant temperatures with rains in most places.
Highest recorded temperatures today: places with temperatures over 37oC: Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Da Nang, Binh Dinh; over 38oC: Son La (Muong La, Yen Chau), Nghe An (Tay Hieu); over 39oC: Lai Chau (Muong Te, Muong Lay), Son La (Phieng Lanh, Nghe An (Tuong Duong, Con Cuong).
1/The Northeast of Vietnam (Lang Son, Cao Bang, Bac Kan, Ha Giang, Thai Nguyen): clouds and scattered rains, 24-34oC. Dong Van Pleau (Ha Giang) has clouds mostly with some rains, 19-25oC.
The Northwest of Vietnam: Hoa Binh, Yen Bai and Lao Cai have sun mostly, some clouds, hot air, 26-37oC. Sapa has sun mostly and some clouds, 16-24oC. Mu Cang Chai has clouds and sun, 20-27oC.
Son La, Dien Bien, Lai Chau: sun and clouds, scatterd thunderstorms, 22-34C. Moc Chau Plateau has clouds mostly, sun and some rains, 20-27oC.
The lowlands (Halong Bay, Hai Phong, Hanoi, Thai Binh, Ninh Binh): sun mostly, some clouds, torrential rains in Quang Ninh, 26-37oC. Hanoi has a mostly sunny day mostly, thunderstorms in the early evening, warm in daytime and pleasant at night, 26-37oC. The torrential rains in Quang Ninh has made Mong Cai City flooded with streets 30-50cm underwater.
2/North of the Central Region (Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Ha Tinh) sun mostly and some clouds, afternoon rains in Ha Tinh, evening thunderstorms in Thanh Hoa, hot, 28-37oC.
3/The coastal areas in the Central Region of Vietnam (Central Coast of Vietnam including: Quang Binh, Quang Tri, Hue, Da Nang, Quang Nam, Quang Ngai, Phu Yen, Binh Dinh, Khanh Hoa, Ninh Thuan, Binh Thuan)
Quang Binh, Quang Tri, Hue: sun mostly, some clouds, scattered rains in the afternoon, hot, 28-37oC.
Da Nang, Hoi An: clouds mostly, hot, rains in spots, 28-36oC;
Quang Ngai, Binh Dinh (Quy Nhon Beach), Phu Yen (Tuy Hoa Beach): sun mostly, afternoon scattered thunderstorms, hot, 28-36oC.
Khanh Hoa (Nha Trang), Ninh Thuan (Ninh Chu Beach), Binh Thuan (Phan Thiet Beach, Mui Ne Beach): clouds mostly, scattered showers and thunderstorms in Ninh Thuan and Binh Thuan, 28-34oC.
4/The Central Highlands (Kon Tum, Gia Lai - Pleiku, Dak Lak - Buon Ma Thuot, Lam Dong) clouds and rains, pleasant temperatures, 21-31oC. Da Lat has clouds mostly, some sun and rains, 16-23oC.

Con Dao Islands have clouds mostly, some afternoon rains 29-30oC; Phu Quoc Island has clouds mostly, afternoon rains, 27-31oC.
