19-April-2019 The hot temperatures caused by the foehn effect are found in all of North Vietnam, the Central Region from Thanh Hoa to Da Nang and Hoi An. The temperatures from 11:00 A.M to 16:00 surpass 36-37oC. The high temperatures make the humidity lower and there are dangers of forest fires.
1/The Northeast of Vietnam (Lang Son, Cao Bang, Bac Kan, Ha Giang, Thai Nguyen): bright sun, 19-34oC. Cao Bang is sunny, 19-36oC. Dong Van Pleau (Ha Giang) is sunny, 17-27oC.
The Northwest of Vietnam (Hoa Binh, Yen Bai, Lao Cai): bright sun; 24-37oC. Lao Cai is sunny and hot, 24-38C. Sapa is sunny, 16-26oC. Mu Cang Chai is sunny, 19-30oC.
Son La, Dien Bien, Lai Chau: bright sunshine and hot, 24-38oC. Moc Chau Plateau is sunny, 26-30oC. Highest temperatures: Muong La (Son La) 42.2oC, Phu Yen (Son La) 41.7oC.
The lowlands (Halong Bay, Hai Phong, Hanoi, Thai Binh, Ninh Binh) are sunny, 26-38oC. The coastal provinces in the North and the Red River Delta is experiencing highest temperatures since 2019 today. It is not usual to have this hot weather in the region in April.
2/North of the Central Region (Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Ha Tinh) are sunny and hot, 28-38oC. Highest temperaures: Tuong Duong (Nghe An) 41.4oC; Huong Khe (Ha Tinh) 41.5oC.
3/The coastal areas in the Central Region of Vietnam (Central Coast of Vietnam including: Quang Binh, Quang Tri, Hue, Da Nang, Quang Nam, Quang Ngai, Phu Yen, Binh Dinh, Khanh Hoa, Ninh Thuan, Binh Thuan)
Quang Binh, Quang Tri, Hue: sunny and hot, 27-41oC. A very hot day across the provinces. Highest temperaturs: Dong Hoi (Quang Binh) 40.4oC; Nam Dong (Thua Thien Hue) 40.8oC.
Da Nang, Hoi An: sunny, 27-37oC;
Quang Ngai, Binh Dinh (Quy Nhon Beach), Phu Yen (Tuy Hoa Beach): sunny, 24-33oC. The highest temperatures in Ba To: 40.2oC.
Khanh Hoa (Nha Trang), Ninh Thuan (Ninh Chu Beach), Binh Thuan (Phan Thiet Beach, Mui Ne Beach): sunny, 27-34oC.
4/The Central Highlands (Kon Tum, Gia Lai - Pleiku, Dak Lak - Buon Ma Thuot, Lam Dong) sunshine with pleasant temperatures, 22-32oC. Patchy rains in Gia Lai and Kon Tum in the evening. Da Lat is rainy, 17-25oC.
5/The South of Vietnam (Vung Tau, Saigon, Mekong Delta) is sunny and hot mostly, patchy rains in Ca Mau in late afternoon, 27-38oC. Heat strike in all of South Vietnam.
Dong Nai, Binh Duong, Binh Phuoc: patchy rains, 26-37oC.
Con Dao Islands are cloudy, 28-30oC; Phu Quoc Island is sunny, 29-32oC.
