A hot day without rain in the Red River Delta, eastern side of the Northwest, in the Central Coast from Thanh Hoa to Phu Yen, in Ninh Thuan; pleasant temperatures and rains in the Central Highlands and South of Vietnam. The southwesterly wind is getting strong and it is rough sea off the coast of Binh Thuan to Ca Mau and Kien Giang (in the Rach Gia Gulf).
Places with highest recorded temperatures today: Above 37oC at Hoa Binh (Mai Chau), Ninh Binh (Nho Quan); above 38oC at Thanh Hoa (Tinh Gia), Nghe An; above 39oC at Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Hue, Quang Nam, Binh Dinh; above 40oC at Nghe An (Tay Hieu).
1/North Vietnam
- The Northeast of Vietnam (Lang Son, Cao Bang, Bac Kan, Ha Giang, Thai Nguyen): Clouds and rains, torrential rains in Ha Giang, 25-33oC in Lang Son and Cao Bang, 25-34oC in Ha Giang and Bac Kan. Dong Van Plateau has clouds and rains, 20-24oC. Early orning torrential rains in Ha Giang (Bac Me, Vi Xuyen, Bac Quang). Later morning more torrential rains in Ha Giang (Bac Quang), in Bac Kan (Cho Ra - Ba Be National Park) and Cao Bang (Nguyen Binh)
- The Northwest of Vietnam:
+ Hoa Binh (Mai Chau), Yen Bai and Lao Cai have clouds mostly and some sun, rains in Lao Cai, hot, 28-36oC in Hoa Binh and Lao Cai, 28-34oC in Yen Bai. Sapa has clouds and rains, 19-25oC. Mu Cang Chai has clouds, 22-28oC.
+ Son La, Dien Bien, Lai Chau: clouds mostly, scattered thunderstorms, 23-34oC. Moc Chau Plateau has clouds, 23-28oC. Torrential rains in mid morning in Lai Chau (Sin Ho).
- The lowlands (Halong Bay, Hai Phong, Hanoi, Thai Binh, Ninh Binh): hazy sunshine and clouds, 28-33oC in Halong, and 29-35oC Hai Phong, 29-36oC in Hanoi, 29-37oC in the south of the Red River Delta. Hanoi has clouds mostly; it is hot and without wind in the early morning but gets but more pleasant later in the morning with some gentle northwesterly wind, warm in the afternoon and evening, very strange!
2/North of the Central Region (Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Ha Tinh) clouds and hazy sun, hot, 30-38oC.
3/The coastal areas in the Central Region of Vietnam (Central Coast of Vietnam including: Quang Binh, Quang Tri, Hue, Da Nang, Quang Nam, Quang Ngai, Phu Yen, Binh Dinh, Khanh Hoa, Ninh Thuan, Binh Thuan)
- Quang Binh, Quang Tri, Hue: clouds and sun, hot, 30-37 in Quang Binh, 30-40oC in the others.
- Da Nang, Hoi An: sun mostly, 30-38oC;
- Quang Ngai, Binh Dinh (Quy Nhon Beach), Phu Yen (Tuy Hoa Beach): clouds and hazy sun, 30-38oC.
- Khanh Hoa (Nha Trang), Ninh Thuan (Ninh Chu Beach), Binh Thuan (Phan Thiet Beach, Mui Ne Beach): clouds and hazy sun, isolated thunderstorms in Binh Thuan in the evening, 27-35oC mostly, 28-38oC in Ninh Thuan.
4/The Central Highlands (Kon Tum, Gia Lai - Pleiku, Dak Lak - Buon Ma Thuot, Lam Dong) clouds and thunderstorms, pleasant temperatures, 22-31oC mostly, 21-28oC in Pleiku. Da Lat has clouds and rains, 17-24oC.
