Typhoon Atsani is in the southwest of Taiwan and is heading west southwest. The typhoon has weakened to be a tropical depression in the afternoon.
A new tropical depression has formed 180km east of the Central Coast of the Philippines with sustained winds of 40-50kph. The projected path in the next 24 hours is west covering 25kph.
