The Cua Tung Beach is located in Cua Tung Town, Vinh Linh District, Quang Tri Province. The Cua Tung Beach is located on the northern side of the Ben Hai River Estuary.
The Cua Tung Beach is a narrow strip of sand stretching for over 1km from north to south. The width of the beach is 25-30m. The sea bed is quite flat with depth of 1.5m at a point 100m from the shore. And there is no undercurrent. It is by the river mouth, but the sea water is clear and has blue color mostly.
The Cua Tung Beach is still pristine and it is not crowded at all. Prices are generally quite cheap.
Weather and Climate
The dry season is from January through July and the rainy season is from late August to December. It is pleasant temperatures in between November-March. The temperatures start getting higher from April through July when the temperatures are mostly above 36-38oC.
Where to stay
There are quite a few small hotels and guesthouses by the beach with basic facilities. Prices are reasonable. Luxury resorts are under construction and should be completed and in operation soon.
Where to eat
There are several restaurants in the Cua Tung Town and near the Cua Tung Beach. Prices are very cheap compared to other tourist attractions in Vietnam.

The Cua Tung Beach is 32km northeast of Dong Ha City via Route 1A and the provincial route 76.
