10 local tour operators and travel agents were licensed to operate adventure tours by The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Lam Dong Province on 20July2017. This is the first time that adventure travel has been officially recognized by the authority.
The licenses were granted after close examination by the authority as to the safety gears, rescue facilities, tour guides... of these travel companies. The sites allowed for adventure travel activities are the Tuyen Lam Lake (Da Lat), Datanla Waterfall (Da Lat), Thung Lung Vang (Lac Duong), Dasa Waterfall (Lac Duong), Madaguoi (Dahuoai), the Ha Don River (Lam Ha). The adventure activities permitted are kayaking, trekking, white water rafting, zipline tours, robe climbing, indoor rock climbing, waterfall climbing and abseiling.
