South Korea biggest low cost Korea announces to start operating direct flights between Daegu (South Korea) - Da Nang (Vietnam) with 7 flights per week from 22Dec2018. There have been huge demands for Vietnam holidays in South Korea and Da Nang has been extremely popular a destination. In 2017, Da Nang received 1.3 million South Korean visitors. The city in the Central Region of Vietnam is famed for the blue sea and the stretch of white sand of several kilometers.
Bamboo Airways is licensed to operate flights in Vietnam on 12November2018. The new air carrier has a plan to operate 100 flight routes connecting different tourist destinations in Vietnam and between Vietnam and overseas travel destinations. In the initial phase, the flight routes are Hanoi - Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi - Dong Hoi, Hanoi - Quy Nhon, Ho Chi Minh City - Quy Nhon, Ho Chi Minh City - Van Don.
Qatar Airways is to launch direct flights between Doha (Qatar) - Da Nang (Vietnam) from December 2018. The air carrier, who has been successful in operating direct flights between Doha - Ho Chi Minh City (Vietnam) and Doha - Hanoi (Vietnam), would like to expand the operation to Da Nang, a beach city in the Central Region of Vietnam.
The lowcost carrier, AirAsia, is planning to operate direct flights between Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia) and Phu Quoc Island (Vietnam) from 2November2018. There will be 4 flights per week for the start.

According to announcements from Vietnam Airlines, the air firm is to suspend all Pleiku flights from 15-March-2015 to 25-October-2015 for the upcoming airport expansion. Tickets for these flights which have been issued are to be refunded fully. The passengers with issued ticket can change the flight to a nearby arrival/departure airport at Buon Ma Thuot or Quy Nhon with reduction or surcharge based on the difference in airfares.

There are 2 return flights per week between Buon Ma Thuot - Thanh Hoa on Tuesday and Thursday. The flight time is 1 hour 30 minutes. There are 3 return flights per week between Buon Ma Thuot - Hai Phong on Monday, Wednesday and Saturday. The new flight routes are to meet the huge demands for air travel between these destinations, especially the surge during the Vietnamese Lunar New Year (Tet Nguyen Dan).
