VietJetAir Started Ho Chi Minh City - Hai Phong Flights

07Oct2012 VietJetAir, a privately owned air carrier in Vietnam, started its first daily flights from Ho Chi Minh City to Hai Phong. The route has high demand for air travel, but had been operated by Vietnam Airlines and Jetstar Pacific only. With more competition, the passengers on this route are benefiting more from cheaper airfares.

The daily flight departs Ho Chi Minh City Tan Son Nhat Airport at 0950 A.M and the return flight departs Hai Phong Cat Bi Airport at 1230 P.M. The new flights would serve better business travel and leisure travel demands between the two major cities in Vietnam. While Ho Chi Minh City is the gateway to Vietnam southern commercial centers and southern tourist attractions, Hai Phong is the major port in northern Vietnam and only 1 hour drive from the famous Halong Bay and Cat Ba Island.
